30 Neo-Futurist Plays From

Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind

(30 Plays in 60 Minutes)

Everything in this show is true. It really happened. It’s happening right now.

Armed with only a handful of props and t-shirts with their names on them, 6 ensemble cast members will race against the clock to perform as many micro plays as possible before the buzzer sounds. Unfortunately for them, the show isn’t quite in their hands when the running order is determined entirely by the audience.

With 30 plays to perform and only 60 minutes to do it, the ensemble must jump between comedy, drama, horror, romance, commentary and audience interaction as fast as they can, stopping only to ask the audience which number they’d like to see next. The plays range from 15 seconds to 2 minutes long, and may feature any number of cast members. It’s up to the ensemble to remember every play no matter the order, and up to the audience which ones they get to see first - and if they get to see 30 plays at all.

In this Lost Theatre Co. production of 30 Neo-Futurist Plays From Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind (30 Plays in 60 Minutes), the actors will be playing themselves, and each play will be hand-picked for that actor to present as authentically and true to their own experience as possible.
